Description
A semolina and moon dal based breakfast preparation. In Tamil the root “pongal” or in Telugu “pongu” means to “boil over” or “spill over”
Ingredients
Rava, Vegetable Cooking Oil, Cashew, Mustard, Green Gram Dal, Cumin, Pepper, Asofoetida, Copra, Turmeric, Sugar, Salt, Green Chillies, Curry Leaves, and Ginger
Directions for Use
- Take 2 ½ measures of water and keep it for boiling. When the water starts to boil, add 1-2 tsp of cooking oil
- Slowly add 1 measure of Adukale Khara Pongal Mix and keep stirring the mix gently for 2 minutes till it becomes uniformly soft and thick
- Measure means a cup or container of your choice
- Keep it covered for 2 minutes
- Serve it hot topped with ghee
