Adukale
In Sankethi, “Adukale” means “Kitchen” traditional Sankethi cuisine. Most of the original recipes have been passed across from generations as the love for food is in the genes.
Sankethis are a community of Smartha Brahmins primarily residing in the Mysore region of Karnataka. We speak a dialect which is a mix of Kannada, Tamil, and some Malayalam. The community is traditionally famed for intelligence, hard work and its expertise in music, vedas, and in growing the areca palm trees.
Sankethi style of cooking is deliciously different and incorporates a blend of tastes from Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Our signature dishes are Chomai (Steamed Rice vermicelli) made from scratch, Gojjavalakki (peppered broken rice), and Kolakattaes (Steamed rice dumplings).
Karla
Karla brings to you varieties of Papad (Happala), fryums (Sandige), pickles (Uppinakaayi) and Halwa. We specialize in more than 20 flavors of Happala and Sandige (Jackfruit papad, Horsegram papad, Aralu Sandige, Peni Sandige, Papad flavors like Cumin, Pudina, Methi, Onion, Garlic, Carrot, Beetroot, Tomato, Millets papad to name a few).
Pickles come in varieties like Midi Mango, Dry Mango, Lemon, Karande and Tamarind Tokku.
Multi-flavored Halwa : Dry fruits, Perale (Guava), Banana, Pineapple and Pancharathna.
All Karla products are home-made, prepared by women from various rural parts of Karnataka. This is a small effort from our end to encourage and support women empowerment in upbringing the social and financial status of the women from our villages.
Saviruchi Foods International Pty Ltd is the only authorised dealer in Australia to sell Karla products.
